A physician for over 40 years, he worked from 1982 to 2015 at the Centre médical Aylmer-Lucerne, which later became COOP Santé Aylmer. He has worked in several sectors of the Outaouais healthcare network: family medicine, hospitalization, long-term care, public health and teaching. From 2000 to 2011, he worked as a physician at Maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie. He has been a volunteer there since 2000.
